Welcome

Welcome to John Kyrle High School and Sixth Form Centre

It is the privilege of my career to be the Headteacher of our fantastic school. Together all members of the “John Kyrle family” are working tirelessly to make John Kyrle High School and Sixth Form Centre the absolute pride of our town. We are proud to be a member of the Heart of Mercia Multi Academy Trust.

Our priorities as a school are clear and transparent. It is our intention to achieve excellence as we work towards our “TEACH” goals.

TEACH stands for:

T – Teaching & Learning

E – Engagement

A – Academic Outcomes

C- Community

H – High Quality Leadership

At John Kyrle we are a community of learners passionate about making a difference. We are a popular school of approximately 1400 students drawn from Ross-on-Wye and the surrounding areas. We're fortunate to not only be set in a beautiful part of the world but also supported by an outstanding community and staff who go the extra mile. We give our all and take public service seriously.

John Kyrle students are “Ready, Respectful and Resilient”. Our job is to further their passions, nurture their well-being and prepare them for the opportunities of our amazing world.

The school's motto is “Carpe Diem” which translates to “Seize The Day”. We try hard to live up to this motto.
