JKHS Sixth Form A Level Results 2024

Sixth Form Students Celebrate Success!

John Kyrle High School and Sixth Form Centre in Ross-on-Wye is celebrating the achievements of its Year 13 students, who received their examination results today. Headteacher Julian Morgan expressed huge pride and admiration for the students.

 

The school's impressive statistics for this year include:

 

A 99% pass rate, with 13% of all grades either A or A *. 

 

A particular highlight was within the Mathematics department, where 50% of all maths grades were A and A*. 

 

More than 80% of all students got to the university of their choice 

 

Individual successes of outstanding results included Arno B with A*, A, A, B and Stefan W with A*, A*, A. 

 

These results pave the way for exciting futures. Amongst these are:

  • Raf with A* AA to study aerospace at Southampton.
  • Chloe reading forensic science at the University of South Wales.
  • Rachel studying counselling at Leeds Trinity.
  • Lucy reading geography having achieved A*, A*, B
  • Niamh studying international disaster management.
  • A number of students have chosen to pursue apprenticeships including Beth with BAE systems, Jack in Accountancy and Anfield in Childcare.

 

Julian Morgan emphasised that this really is a team effort. "Without the hard work, determination, and dedication of these amazing young adults, none of these results would be possible. Huge thanks and congratulations to the students, their fantastic teachers and support staff and of course their families. Close partnerships with home are central to this success”

 

Helen Bolt, Head of Sixth Form, added,

‘I am immensely proud of this year group; they have worked hard over the last two years and it has been a real pleasure to support them both academically and personally. I have no doubt they will be go on achieve whatever they put their minds to!’
