Our annual JKHS Careers Convention took place on Thursday 5th October. The event was open to all students at the school from Years 7 – 13 as part of their ongoing careers education package. Some 40 exhibitors were at school offering advice on employment, training, apprenticeships, colleges and university courses. The event was attended by over 800 people including parents and carers accompanying students who were eager to glean information directly from the experts.

Convention organiser, Hayley Knapper, said how pleased she was that the event had been so well attended giving students the chance to find out about their future opportunities.

Headteacher Nigel Griffiths added, “I am very grateful to my staff for the organisation which went into this well-attended and successful event. The Careers Convention is part of the school’s commitment to enhancing future prospects for students and emphasising the role of their developing employability skills.”
